If you choose to attend counselling online, I use secure, encrypted platforms (such as Zoom) to protect your privacy. I recommend that you also take reasonable precautions, such as using a private device and ensuring your surroundings are confidential during sessions.

I do not record online sessions, and I ask that clients do not record them either.

Your information is kept securely and handled in line with professional standards and NCPS ethical guidelines.

  • Paper records (if used) are stored in a locked cabinet.

  • Digital records are encrypted and password protected.

  • Only I have access to your personal data.

  • I keep records for [e.g. seven years] after our work together ends, after which they are securely deleted or destroyed.
